Kobi Bokshish
Kobi is a master hairstylist, a platform artist and a design team member for Matrix Australia. Originally hailing from Israel, Kobi first started cutting hair while serving in the air force at the age of 19.
What began as a necessary task rapidly became a creative obsession and Kobi began training in upmarket salons soon after fulfilling his military service. He was also introduced to the world of fashion styling and platform work, giving him the inspiration and confidence to create edgy, unique, high fashion looks and to embrace innovative styling techniques.
A true artist with an impeccable eye for detail, Kobi has won numerous state, national and global awards since opening Intershape over a decade ago.
Philip Barwick
Philip Barwick lives and breathes hairdressing as leader of Sydney’s dynamic MUSE HAIRDRESSING team in Sydney, Australia. A long standing career and a passion for precision cutting, session styling, education, training and people, has seen Philip hold on to a position of respect, credibility and industry mentor. Twice recipient of the prestigious AHFA, Australian Hairdresser of the Year award, finalist for Hair Expo Australian Hairdresser of the Year in 2005 and 2012, twice awarded AHFA NSW Hairdresser of the Year and along with 2005 Hair Expo Excellence in Hairdressing Education, Philips’s creativity and imagination, in cohesion with his strong technical ability, is what makes him one of the best in the business.
As a leading Hair Director for Australian Fashion Week and Singapore Fashion Festival, alongside his salon work, Philip has also been a regular contributor for freelance editorial, advertising and runway clients. Philip is regularly invited as a Session Stylist for New York Fashion Week and has directed runway hair for regular designer clients.
Philip has evolved into a leading international hair educator, mentor and platform artist in Australia, London, South Africa, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Canada and America where he holds a position as a Redken Exchange Artist and has presented at Redken Symposium and the International RAC. As the current Artistic Director for Redken Australia Philip’s experience is one of a truly world class career
Tiffany Decaux
Tiffany has been at Boris the Cuttery for 7 years, and in that time has achieved some extraordinary goals. She won South Australian hairdresser of the year in 2016 was also awarded a position on the 2018 Fame team. During her year with the Fame team she not only learnt from my fellow team members, but met other innovators in the hair industry igniting her passion and drive for the industry.
She loves learning new techniques, sharing my ideas and creating art that has not been done before. She always pushes herself to look outside the box for new ideas and find new ways of being innovative.
She is also incredibly thrilled to be apart of the Loreal education team, the industry at the forefront of hair design and technology with an incredibly diverse team, and gives her the opportunity to express her creativity.
Kristina russell
An exceptionally talented and truly dynamic artist and educator, Kristina Russell has been at the pinnacle of hairdressing education for more than two decades and has been privileged to be exposed to the many dimensions of the educational domain throughout her illustrious career.
With many years spent educating under the paradigm of leading industry brands, Kristina moved to an independent Educator role in 2017 with her own program that embraced the methodology to coach individuals on her world-class techniques, whilst developing unique learner-focussed education styles that were suitable for all hairdressing levels.
Kristina is renowned as the Reds Expert, and author of Ebook ‘The Ultimate Guide to Hair-Painting for Redheads’. Her salon clientele is incredibly varied. She tends to specialise in Blondes & Redheads & Pastels based on her technical skill and artistic flair. She absolutely loves the challenge of corrective colour and offers creative solutions to her transformation clients.
In June 2010, her creative influence on our industry earned her the coveted title ‘Australian Hair Expo Colour Technician of the Year’.
And more recently, she has been announced as a Finalist in the category of Best Independent Educator of the Year in the 2020/21 Australian Hair Industry Awards.
Jake williams
Jake is an emerging artists who started hairdressing in 2009 under the education of Fabrik Hair and Darcy Stratford who at the time was a finalist in the AHFA Awards for Hairdresser of the Year. Fabrik was an edgy and innovative salon that pushed the limits with creativity. Jake was selected to assist the Aveda Global Creative Team headed by Antoinette Beenders. The team showcased at Hair Expo and the artistry was pure creative genius. It opened Jake up to the limitless possibilities of the hair world. In 2012 Jake moved to Sydney to join the Stevie English Hair team, another leading creative team within the industry. This is where Jake was introduced to the wild side of creative hair and working on stage at Hair Expo as both a solo artist and with the salon team.
2013 Jake started educating for Showpony and is still apart of the Showpony Education team to this day. Working with this team has provided Jake with endless opportunities to grow as a hairdresser but most importantly to see a vision in the true art of hair extension transformation. In 2019 Jake was a finalist in the AHFA Transformation Video of the Year Award. He also joined the Edwards and Co team, another industry leading salon that has a strong focus around hair transformations. Joining this team meant that Jake could push his skills to the next level, taking everything he had learnt in the past, flipping it on its head and evolving to where he is today. His expertise in extensions has provided the perfect combination to marry his skills together. Some note worthy hair extension clientele includes the PR Powerhouse Roxy Jacenko and Fashion Designer Rebecca Vallance
